15 Best Things to Do in Homestead (Florida
"Located just off South Dixie Highway in Homestead, the Coral Castle Museum is a unique outdoor attraction that was built by a local man entirely from local limestone. It’s still a mystery how he moved and manipulated the massive limestone blocks used in the castle’s construction; some have suggested he may have had extraterrestrial help. Though the verdict is still out on that claim, there’s no doubt that it’s a popular attraction with children and adults alike, and it’s one of those one-of-a-kind Florida attractions that you won’t see elsewhere."

"‘You will be seeing unusual accomplishment,’ reads the inscription on the rough-hewn quarried wall. That’s an understatement. There is no greater temple to all that is weird and wacky about South Florida. The legend: a Latvian gets snubbed at the altar. Comes to the USA and settles in Florida. Handcarves, unseen, in the dead of night, a monument to unrequited love."

The Miami Greatest Hits List - Miami
"Hearing the word “Kush” has the same effect on us as those smelling salts you’re supposed to wave underneath an unconscious person’s nose. The burgers at this restaurant are so good that - no matter what day of the week - we’ll happily get up, put on shoes, brave the chaos of Wynwood, and wait 30 minutes to squeeze into this tiny restaurant and inhale a frita burger, which comes topped with guava jelly, potato stix, and bacon. There are six other burgers here - as well as very good alligator bites and key lime pie - and you should try them all as long as you’re prepared to fall asleep within the next hour."

The Best Restaurants in Miami
"Set in the graffiti-decked streets of Wynwood, Miami’s exploding arts district, beer-and-burger haven Kush seems to mimic its edgy neighborhood, with exposed-brick walls and low tables made from recycled kegs. The watering-hole ambiance is matched with an impressive selection of often-local craft beer and a menu packed with regional ingredients, including beef from Cowart Ranch that is ground in-house daily. Though all of the burgers are excellent, the Frita tastes like Miami in sandwich form."

"Miami Mountain is a real landmark within the city and the perfect spot for a photo. Commissioned by The Bass Museum and created by Ugo Rondinone, the artist behind Nevada’s Seven Magic Mountains, this 42-foot tall neon sculpture has been coined the Eighth Magic Mountain. By positioning this fluorescent sculpture within Collins Park, Rondinone sought to add a neon rainbow color palette to the area — something that stood out amongst the existing whites and greens."
